After a very successful 13-night tour in 2015, we're excited to explore France again with you. France is often referred to as the culinary centre of the world and, in fact, in November 2010 UNESCO added French gastronomy to the list of the world’s intangible cultural heritage. Its cuisine is highly diverse, from traditional/classic French, creative and modern cuisines to name a few.
Starting in Paris and visiting Dijon and Lyon - France's three gastronomic centres - our 13-night fully guided tour takes in food markets, specialty gourmet stores, hidden passageways, Michelin star restaurants, culinary stores, leading patisseries, charcuteries and more.
The tour includes accommodation in four star-hotels, a visit to a chateau that dates back to the 14th century, all transport between cities, most meals (including Michelin-star restaurants) and a range of culinary and gourmet experiences - including cooking classes and guides through food markets with local experts.
Many of the locations visited and experiences are not offered on most tours but are Andrew's hand-picked gems. Having lived in France for a year in 2012 and then settling in Paris in March 2016, Andrew invites you to share his experiences of French food, life and culture on this specially designed tour.
Our France Extravaganza tour is available on the above mentioned dates for our public group tours. You can also book this as a private group tour on a date of your choice for groups of four or more.
If you don't like group tours or travelling alone then we can arrange a range of accommodation/transport options for you and book them along with activities so you can explore on your own.
